Job Description

Major industrial environments face significant data challenges:

  • Multiplication of information sources (business applications, PLM systems, databases, files, APIs...)
  • Heterogeneity of formats and models
  • Growing need for reliable, qualified, and up-to-date data
  • Necessity for near real-time exchanges between systems

In this context, our teams are involved in setting up modern Data Engineering platforms to industrialize and govern data flows. We are looking for a Data Engineer to actively participate in the design and development of these new data uses.

Your Missions

Integrated into a transverse or business squad, you will contribute to the implementation and evolution of a data platform:

  • Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines
  • Implement ingestion flows from various sources: databases, files, APIs, events, etc.
  • Structure and transform data according to a medallion architecture: Bronze: collect and store raw data, Silver: qualify, clean, model, Gold: consolidate and expose data products
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and freshness
  • Industrialize batch and streaming processes
  • Collaborate closely with business teams, architects, and data analysts
  • Participate in architectural choices and best practices (performance, security, governance)

Technical Environment

You will work in a modern, data-oriented ecosystem:

  • Databases: PostgreSQL
  • Streaming / Event processing: Apache Flink, Kafka
  • Orchestration: Airflow
  • Transformation / Modeling: dbt
  • Integration / CDC: Debezium (depending on use case)

Application & PLM Ecosystem: 3DX / Windchill / SAP / R&D tools

Qualifications

Graduated from an engineering school or university (Bac+5), you ideally have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or development with a strong data aptitude
  • A good understanding of data quality and modeling issues
  • An aptitude for complex systems and industrial environments

Expected Skills

Technical:

  • Mastery of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge or experience with the following technologies: Kafka, Flink, Airflow, dbt
  • Understanding of modern data architectures (batch / streaming / event-driven)
  • Sensitivity to performance and scalability issues

Behavioral:

  • Analytical mindset and rigor
  • Ability to work in complex environments and communicate with business stakeholders (engineering and business processes)
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork in an agile scrum format
  • Autonomy and technological curiosity
