Data Engineer - Reporting

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Reporting / Analytics-Focused Data Engineer to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role is centered on querying, data extraction, reporting, and warehouse-level data modeling , working closely with BI and business stakeholders.

While this position is not pipeline-heavy, candidates should be comfortable working with analytical data platforms and supporting reporting systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

· Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis

· Perform data extraction and transformation to support reporting needs

· Support and enhance business intelligence dashboards and recurring reports

· Work closely with analytics and business teams to understand reporting requirements

· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting layers

· Assist in designing and maintaining analytics-friendly data models within the warehouse

· Troubleshoot query performance and data quality issues

Required Skills:· Advanced SQL expertise , comfortable working with common SQL dialects

· Hands-on querying experience with Databricks or similar analytical engines (Snowflake, BigQuery, Presto, or AWS Athena)

· Experience working with at least two BI tools (excluding Looker and ThoughtSpot), such as:

o Power BI,Tableau, MicroStrategy or other comparable BI platforms

· Strong understanding of reporting and analytics workflows in a data warehouse environment
