Data Engineer – Schwerpunkt Programmierung & Datenpipelines* (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• You work in a consulting environment and develop new, varied data solutions for different clients.
• You develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch and streaming processing, working with Spark / PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• You implement data models according to Kimball, Data Vault, or Lakehouse principles.
• You transform, normalize, and denormalize data from various source systems.
• You orchestrate data pipelines with Airflow or comparable tools and work with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• You support data analysis and machine learning pipelines.
• You ensure quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD.

What you bring

Qualifications

• You have several years of professional experience in the aforementioned areas and possess very good SQL skills as well as very good knowledge of Spark / PySpark.
• You are proficient in Python and have experience with dbt and Airflow or comparable orchestration tools.
• You are proficient in Snowflake and/or Databricks and experienced in data modeling (dimensional modeling, Data Vault, normalization & denormalization).
• You think analytically and enjoy solving complex data problems cleanly.
