Senior Manager – Data Engineering (Streaming + BigQuery)

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Data Engineering to lead the next phase of innovation for a high‑scale fintech data platform. This role is ideal for someone who has built real‑time data platforms, worked with streaming systems, and can lead teams to deliver scalable, reliable data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the data lake & OLAP ecosystem
• Build and evolve real‑time data pipelines (Kafka/MSK, CDC, BigQuery)
• Lead a team of data engineers to deliver end‑to‑end data projects
• Design scalable data platforms using S3, Iceberg, Glue, Athena
• Collaborate with product, ML, and business teams for analytics & AI use cases
• Drive best practices around data quality, governance, and observability

Requirements

• 10–16 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles
• Strong experience with Kafka / streaming systems
• Hands‑on experience with BigQuery (or modern data warehouse)
• Experience building data platforms from scratch
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or Java
• Experience with Airflow, data pipelines, ETL/ELT
• Team handling experience (5+ engineers)
• Experience with CDC / Debezium
• Exposure to AWS and GCP
• Fintech or high‑scale product experience
