Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Modeling:

• Conception and implementation of complex data models and data pipelines in Snowflake and dbt to support accounting and multi-GAAP processes
• Ensuring scalability, performance, and data quality

Solution Design:

• Development of a cloud-based data platform to replace the SAP IA sub-ledger
• Provision of standardized financial data from a central source to various consumer systems, considering regulatory requirements

Product Development:

• Consultation on architectural decisions and prioritization of technical features

Documentation & Reporting:

• Creation of technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
• Support in visualizing and communicating technical content for stakeholders at a global level

Collaboration:

• Collaboration with the agile Scrum team and external partners for successful project implementation

Requirements

• Education: Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable technical field of study.
• Cloud & ETL: In-depth knowledge of the data integration software dbt and experience in integrating data for various consumer systems.
• Snowflake & SQL: In-depth knowledge of Snowflake, including data modeling, security configurations, and data sharing. Very good SQL skills and experience with complex queries.
• DevOps Technology: Proficiency in using DevOps platforms such as GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and Python.
• Professional Experience: Several years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in complex data projects, ideally in the insurance or financial sector.
• Agile Methods: Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe. Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Language Skills: Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
