About the Role

The Data Insights Analyst plays a crucial role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to deliver valuable insights that inform strategic decisions. This position is pivotal in supporting the division through statistical analysis, problem identification, and driving initiatives that foster innovation and enhance quality while mitigating fraud, waste, and abuse. The Analyst will analyze, interpret, and visualize claims, clinical, and operational data from diverse sources, recommending effective intervention strategies.

Salary Range

$60,000-80,000 The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Location

Our primary goal is to have the successful candidate reside in Wisconsin to facilitate hybrid work and collaboration. Employees within a 45-mile radius of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713) will be expected to work on-site for 2 days a week consistently. Additionally, we offer remote work options in select states.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandated for this role to comply with CMS regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in querying, reshaping, and visualizing data systems.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence/analytical tools and programming languages such as R, Python, SAP Business Objects, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks.
  • Adept at interpreting analytic results and crafting summaries for presentations.
  • Proficient in MS O365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
  • Basic familiarity with health insurance systems and claims processing workflows.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, or healthcare claims is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or business data analytics role is preferred.
