Role

In this role, you will take responsibility for the strategic and conceptual further development of the data and integration architecture, thus sustainably shaping the data landscape. You will build a company-wide data model, define and maintain the target data architecture with clear data domains, data flows, and ownership structures. You will be responsible for the design and further development of the integration landscape across core systems, CRM, and portals, and establish binding architectural specifications for data and integration. You will also conduct architecture reviews, approve projects from a data and integration perspective, and translate business requirements into viable data models and integration designs. In close cooperation with solution architecture, project management, data governance, business departments, and external providers, you will structure complex relationships and mediate appropriately between business and IT.

Qualifications

• You have completed higher education (FH/HF/Uni) or a comparable qualification.
• You have many years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and integration in complex system landscapes, ideally in the insurance or other regulated environments.
• You are proficient in API architectures, event-driven architecture, as well as modern data platforms, data warehouses, and streaming technologies.
• You are familiar with provider and multi-vendor environments and can manage them confidently.
• You are characterized by clear decisiveness, a strong focus on implementation, and a pronounced sense of responsibility.
• You skillfully structure complex issues and communicate them appropriately between business, IT, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• You bear the responsibility for the strategic further development of the data and integration architecture.
• In this role, you will build and continuously develop a company-wide data model.
• You will define and maintain the target data architecture, including data domains, data flows, and ownership.
• As an architect for data integration, you will design the integration landscape across core systems, CRM, and portals.
• You will establish binding architectural specifications for data and integration and consistently enforce them.
• In this role, you will translate business requirements into viable data models and integration designs and work closely with various stakeholders.
