Data Management Analyst

Your Mission

In this role, you will participate in the development and implementation of modern data management solutions. You will learn about topics such as Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management and support the team in their implementation.

You will work on projects for clients, for example, from the banking sector, and together with experienced colleagues, you will be the point of contact for technical and organizational issues. You will support project coordination and coordinate closely with your project team.

In addition to project work, you will contribute to the further development of topics and solutions and support collaboration with technology partners as well as the maintenance of existing partnerships. This way, you can gradually build up technical expertise and take on responsibility.

What awaits you

• (Meta-)Data Governance & Frameworks application You will use established data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), develop glossaries, taxonomies, and data lineage models, and support the implementation of scalable governance structures.

• Improve & evaluate data quality You will analyze and evaluate customer-specific data quality architectures, define rules and KPIs, and derive recommendations for improving data quality.

• Work with leading tools You will work with common metadata, governance, and DQ tools such as Collibra, Informatica, D-Quantum, or Ab Initio and contribute your know-how to develop optimal solutions.

• Work analytically & program You will conduct data analyses and use programming languages such as Python, R, or Java to model, transform, or prepare data for analysis.

• Structure & accompany projects You will use tools like Jira, Trello, or MS Project, create clear technical documentation and reports, and support teams through mentoring and methodological competence.

What we look for

• Consulting Core Skills You bring a strong consulting, presentation, and communication skillset (in German & English) and have initial experience in applying Design Thinking and in creating proposals.

• (Meta-) Data Management & Governance You have a fundamental understanding of Data Governance & Data Quality – e.g., through your studies or initial practical experience – including an interest in frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), glossaries, taxonomies, data lineage, as well as familiarization with common governance, metadata, and DQ tools (like Collibra or Informatica) to understand and co-develop data quality architectures in the future.

• Analytical Approach You are willing to learn new technologies and tools and have initial knowledge in data analysis and in using programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation.

• Leadership and Team Management You have basic knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Trello, or MS Project, support planning and tracking of tasks, and contribute to the creation of understandable documentation and reports; you are also interested in learning and sharing best practices in data and project management.
