Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing team. This role is responsible for delivering actionable, data-driven insights that enhance project performance, optimize costs, and support strategic decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze construction-related data, including budgets, schedules, safety metrics, and labor productivity.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost variance, schedule variance, and resource utilization, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with project management, finance, and operations teams to identify trends and drive efficiency improvements.
- Support forecasting, bid analysis, and cost modeling for upcoming projects.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize database structures using platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Contribute to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by supporting project planning, execution, and timely delivery of analytics solutions.
- Participate in data modeling initiatives, including the use of linked data concepts to improve data integration across systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst role (construction industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one business intelligence or visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with construction or project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend or similar data integration platforms.
- Programming experience in R and Python for statistical analysis and advanced analytics.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience with VBA scripting for process automation within Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Bash/Unix scripting for data workflows.
- Familiarity with linked data concepts for integrating disparate datasets.
