Data Platform Manager

The role

• Lead the evolution and optimization of existing data models, prioritizing scalability and reuse over ad hoc rebuilds.
• Drive the design of long-term data architecture to support advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
• Develop and maintain robust dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables, as well as scalable semantic layers.
• Own the development of high-performance data pipelines leveraging technologies such as Spark and Airflow, including real-time data enrichment and processing.
• Partner closely with data science teams to enable production-grade AI/ML workflows.
• Transform complex, unstructured, and low-quality data into standardized, analytics-ready datasets.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of data platforms, pipelines, and models across the organization.

The skills

• Extensive experience in Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark
• Strong experience in Data Modelling with the primary usage being in a modern data platform
• Experience with raw and messy datasets
• Deep knowledge of core models, semantic layers, data architecture and real time enrichment
• Multiple years in leadership overseeing a team of direct reports
