To ensure our marketing, analytics, and AI systems operate on a consistent and reliable data basis, we continuously develop our central Data Platform. This is exactly where you come in:

As a Data Product & AI Engineer (m/f/d), you will shape the foundation for data-driven decisions in the marketing of the future. Your goal: away from fragmented data, manual evaluations, and different KPI definitions – towards clearly structured, standardized, and AI-usable Data Products. Together with Analytics, Controlling, and Tech teams, you will create a platform on which customer journeys can be consistently modeled across systems and data can be directly used for dashboards, APIs, and AI applications.

We are not looking for a pure "buzzword" role, nor a classic corporate architect. It is more important to us that you can solve problems in a structured way, are technically curious, and can pragmatically apply modern development.

What awaits you:

• You develop modern Data Products and data models for marketing, customer journey, and behavioral data.
• You structure data so that it can be directly used for dashboards, APIs, automations, and AI systems.
• You standardize KPI logics and ensure that teams work on a consistent data basis.
• You work at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI applications.
• You actively use modern AI Coding Assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools in your daily development.
• You pragmatically develop existing data structures and help to sustainably unify fragmented systems.
• You work closely with our platform, streaming, and governance teams.
• You contribute your own ideas and actively shape technical solutions.
• Hybrid work with shared office days in Bonn (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

What you bring:

• You have already implemented productive projects in the areas of Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Backend, or AI-related systems.
• You can understand and meaningfully model complex data structures.
• Good SQL and Python skills.
• You work pragmatically, are solution-oriented, and think beyond pure implementation.
• You are interested in modern AI workflows and productively use AI Coding Assistants.
• Understanding of software quality, maintainability, and clean technical solutions.
• You can communicate technical topics understandably and enjoy working with different specialist areas.
• Experience with modern Data Stacks, Cloud Technologies, DBT, Streaming, APIs, or Metadata Management is a plus – but not a must.
