Kforce has a client in Wexford, PA that is seeking a driven, intellectually curious Data Product Manager to own how data assets are structured, packaged, and brought to market. This role helps define a critical function within a fast-growing data organization and is ideal for someone who thrives on turning raw data into market-ready products.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, prioritization, and lifecycle of data products from concept through commercialization
- Identify new product opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Translate business needs into clear, well-defined data product requirements
- Launch data products that directly contribute to revenue growth
- Develop and maintain data product and marketplace taxonomies and classification frameworks
- Ensure data products are clearly labeled, documented, and easy to understand for customers and internal teams
- Establish and enforce naming conventions, metadata standards, and categorization schemas
- Transform raw data into clean, sellable products by defining scope, format, delivery, and pricing inputs
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to bring new data products to market with clear positioning and use cases
- Define and track success metrics such as adoption, revenue contribution, and engagement
- Manage and audit audience segment taxonomies across internal systems and data marketplaces to ensure accuracy and quality
- Serve as the internal expert on data sources, structure, quality, and use cases
- Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure pipelines support product needs
- Bridge technical and commercial stakeholders and support Sales in technical data discussions
- Gather feedback to iterate on existing products and identify new opportunities
- Stay current on industry trends in data, martech, and adtech
- Document and refine product processes to support scalable growth
Requirements
What You Bring
- 2 to 5 years of experience in data product management, data strategy, or a closely related role
- Strong understanding of data concepts including taxonomy, classification, metadata, and data quality
- Experience working with structured data (CSV, JSON, APIs) and commercialization use cases
- A product mindset focused on user value and business outcomes
- Ability to document requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with a bias toward action
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment skills
- Experience with tools such as SQL, spreadsheets, Jira, Confluence, and BI platforms
- Exposure to AI-driven data use cases such as classification, enrichment, or automation
- Experience in martech or adtech data ecosystems, audience segmentation, identity resolution, data licensing, data governance, privacy frameworks, cloud-based data stacks, and modern BI tools (nice to have)
