About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provides data and reporting in support of business objectives by querying data and creating, writing, and pulling reports based on end-user needs.
  • Coaches and trains junior analysts.
  • Prepares both ongoing and ad-hoc reports of moderate to high complexity to support business goals and objectives.
  • Working in Excel, learning institutional methodologies for creating statistics; managing a book of reports, and researching and manually creating statistics on an ad-hoc basis (sometimes under tight deadlines).
  • Communicates results of reports to business partners when required.
  • Reviews queries for performance issues, making changes as needed.
  • Participates in the design and development of the system, as well as creation of user documentation.
  • Identifies opportunities to standardize, scale, or automate common report requests.
  • Proposes enhancements to reports and existing processes.
  • Interprets business needs, analyzes impacts, prepares for change and documents procedures.
  • Trains users on reporting tools and creates visuals based on data reports to show results.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
