About the role
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (f/d/m) to join a large research consortium focused on the modulation of graft‑versus‑host and graft‑versus‑leukemia responses following allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
Responsibilities
- Process and analyze high‑throughput multi‑omics data, including single‑cell RNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq, and spatial transcriptomics.
- Integrate complex omics datasets to refine cell‑type annotations and functional states.
- Develop novel algorithms and tools for visualization and analysis of cellular interactions and signaling pathways.
- Leverage machine learning and multi‑omics approaches to identify diagnostic and prognostic markers for different immune cell populations.
- Develop computational models to simulate molecular signaling (e.g., receptor‑ligand interactions) and their impact on systemic physiological adaptations and immune responses.
- Create and maintain reproducible bioinformatics workflows for a collaborative network of immunology and hematology laboratories.
- Present complex data findings to interdisciplinary teams and lead the preparation of scientific publications.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Informatics in the Natural Sciences, Biostatistics or a related discipline with intensive training/experience in bioinformatics.
- Proficiency in R, Python and/or Perl.
- Expertise in machine learning and high‑dimensional data analysis.
- Expertise in the analysis of single‑cell sequencing and other omics data types.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and version control.
- Strong interest or background in immunology, oncology, or transplant medicine.
- A solid understanding of statistics.
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
- Ability to work independently.
- A clear sense of organization, purpose, and accountability.
Command of the German language is not a requirement .
