Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Customer Success Engineer, you will forge strong relationships with clients, comprehending their unique needs, gaining their trust, and demonstrating how IBM's leading solutions can address their challenges while delivering real value.
Your core responsibilities encompass:
- Client Strategy Design: Develop tailored strategies for Data & AI infrastructure.
- Solution Definition: Craft IBM Data & AI solutions that enhance overall technology stacks.
- Educational Support: Provide proof of concepts and simplify complex topics to enhance client understanding.
- Credibility Building: Establish trust and credibility essential for closing complex Cloud technology deals.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven experience in a Technical Sales or Data Security role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of methods to safeguard data throughout its lifecycle, including:
- Streamlining data protection and compliance through sensitive data discovery, threat and vulnerability detection, and simplified audit-readiness.
- Assisting clients in achieving crypto-agility by managing encryption at scale and reducing cryptography risks, while preparing for quantum resilience.
- Familiarity with data security platforms such as IBM Guardium, Varonis, Cyera, Microsoft Purview, Imperva.
- Experience navigating the sales lifecycle and driving positive customer outcomes.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) across various organizational levels.
- Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial mindset committed to excellence.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain positive business relationships with clients and peers.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience with IBM Guardium Data Security solutions (Cryptography Manager, Data Protection, Data Security Center, Discover and Classify, Key Lifecycle Manager).
- Knowledge of competitive products (Cyera, Imperva, Varonis, Microsoft, Wiz) is an advantage.
- Expertise in the Data & AI market to quickly establish yourself as a trusted advisor to clients.
