About

The DNA Group is seeking a Data Solutions Architect. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level analytical data platform solutions supporting critical healthcare business applications and analytics initiatives. You will architect scalable and high-performance data systems, optimize complex database environments, lead ETL and cloud data initiatives, and provide technical leadership across data engineering and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures and database solutions
  • Develop schemas, tables, views, indexing strategies, and data modeling standards
  • Architect and maintain ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data pipelines
  • Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database configurations in high-volume environments
  • Support Azure-based data lakehouse and data warehouse solutions
  • Collaborate with executives, business analysts, developers, and data scientists on enterprise data initiatives
  • Lead technical reviews, mentor developers, and establish database development best practices
  • Implement database security, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and compliance strategies
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database and data platform issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational standards
  • Support cloud-based analytics platforms utilizing Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and enterprise DBMS technologies
  • Align database architecture and data strategy with organizational and healthcare business goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong expertise with SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Databricks, Python, and DAX
  • Experience with enterprise DBMS platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
  • Advanced T-SQL and/or PL-SQL programming experience
  • Strong experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Informatica
  • Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and cloud-based data platforms
  • High proficiency with Azure Data Factory
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, clustering, replication, and capacity planning
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting enterprise healthcare or government environments preferred
  • Experience with Big Data technologies and DevOps practices preferred
  • Candidate must qualify for a STaR2 Journeyman category position

  • Cloud-Based Data Platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.): 8 years (Required)
  • Azure Data Factory: 8 years (Required)
  • Database Architecture Principles, High Availability Solutions, and Capacity Planning: 8 years (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Related Field: (Required)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Big Data Technologies (Spark, Hadoop), and DevOps Practices (CI/CD, Terraform): (Required)
  • Must Qualify for a STaR2 Journeyman Category Position: (Required)
