Data Specialist (Engineer / Scientist)

The successful candidate will be involved in designing and implementing modern data infrastructure, while taking ownership of data systems, processes, and architecture. Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development • Design, build, and optimise data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple sources • Ensure high levels of data quality, consistency, and accessibility across platforms • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data architecture in line with business growth

Data Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement • Partner with business units to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions • Create intuitive dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Continuous Improvement & Innovation • Identify opportunities to improve data processes, accuracy, and efficiency • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to support evolving needs • Collaborate with leadership to scale and future-proof data capabilities

Data Governance & Maintenance • Maintain and monitor data systems to ensure reliability and performance • Oversee API integrations, ensuring stability and adherence to best practices • Implement strong data governance, security, and compliance standards

Requirements

Education • Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Mathematics, Data Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline

Experience • 5+ years’ experience within Data Science/Engineering or a similar role (e.g., BI Scientist, Data Engineer) • 3+ years’ experience Python, R and Cloud softwares • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business needs into data solutions
