Data Test Engineer

You will own the end-to-end data validation and quality assurance processes for enterprise-level data warehouse applications. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering data validation, regression, and multiple testing phases in large-scale projects. Transform complex business logic into SQL or PL/SQL queries to verify ETL processes and data integrity. Perform data analysis tasks including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation within an IT operating environment. Identify defects and manage the defect life cycle using tracking tools. Tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to drive performance improvements. Create requirements traceability matrices (RTM) and prepare test data using established preparation techniques. Required Skills 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience focusing on Data Warehouse testing. Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including writing complex queries and performance tuning. Proficiency in Python for QA automation testing. Strong knowledge of ETL development, data warehousing concepts (ODS, DM, EDW, ROLAP), and data models/ERDs. Experience with XML and information governance principles. Hands-on experience with Jira or ALM for defect tracking. Technical familiarity with S3, Hadoop, and Postgres. Deep understanding of the Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, and Defect Life Cycle. Proven ability to work with large data sets and Data Quality Frameworks.
