Position: DataOps Engineer Consultant

We are looking for a hands‑on DataOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data operations, automation, and collaboration, with a proven ability to improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data pipelines and analytics environments.

In this role, you will help industrialize data delivery by applying DevOps principles to data workflows, ensuring smooth deployment, monitoring, and governance across the data lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DataOps practices to enable continuous and reliable delivery of data products.
• Automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of data pipelines across development and production environments.
• Ensure operational stability of data workflows, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance optimization.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring to ensure trusted and consistent datasets.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams to streamline end‑to‑end data processes.
• Establish observability standards (alerts, logs, lineage, SLA tracking) for data pipelines and platforms.
• Define and enforce best practices for version control, documentation, and lifecycle management of data assets.
• Support governance and security requirements, including access controls and compliance guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives around automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, DataOps, DevOps, or a related role.
• Solid understanding of data pipeline concepts, orchestration, and operational support.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with modern data platforms and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, or MS Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Terraform or Airflow.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of data quality, monitoring, and governance principles.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in French and English (verbal & written).
