About

The Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung (BGE) is searching for a site for a final repository for high-level radioactive waste and is building the Konrad repository for low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste. The BGE is keeping the Morsleben repository open until its decommissioning and is planning the retrieval of radioactive waste from the Asse mine. The BGE is a federal company under the business area of the Federal Ministry for the Environment.

Your Tasks

  • You are responsible for the further development of an existing in-house developed digitalization and decision-making platform (Django).
  • In addition, you will take over the strategic planning and conception of data-driven decision-making platforms for new implementations.
  • Analyzing business requirements and transferring them into technical solutions and system architectures is also part of your tasks.
  • You are responsible for the development and further development of intelligent assistance systems, such as copilots, chatbots, or agent-based systems.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for the integration of the digitalization platform into business processes.

Your Experience

  • You have a completed university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or a comparable qualification, e.g., in computer science, data science, (business) engineering, natural sciences, or related fields; possibly a doctorate.
  • You also have professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer (focus UI/UX).
  • Ideally, you have knowledge in Data Science, Machine Learning, and modern AI technologies, as well as practical experience with LLMs (Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine-Tuning, Orchestration) and their integration into productive systems.
  • You also have good knowledge of various database systems.
  • Ideally, you also have knowledge of graph database structures.
