About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager (Delivery Lead) who can drive end-to-end delivery while staying close to the technology. This role requires a strong blend of delivery ownership, technical leadership, and team management.

You will work closely with product, business, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Management

• Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring timely and predictable outcomes
• Define and manage delivery roadmaps, sprint plans, and forecasts
• Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies
• Drive Agile best practices to ensure consistent delivery and rapid feedback cycles
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to align priorities

Technical Leadership

• Review system designs, architecture, and technical approaches
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
• Ensure solutions meet standards for scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term technical health (tech debt management)
• Promote engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, and code quality

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving high performance and accountability
• Set clear expectations for delivery, quality, and collaboration
• Support team growth through coaching, feedback, and development

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with recent experience as an Engineering Manager / Tech Lead / Delivery Lead
• Strong background in hands-on development (Java / Python / Node.js or similar)
• Proven experience managing Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience with system design, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
