Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, execution, and monitoring of road construction projects.
  • Oversee daily site activities including earthwork, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, structures, and drainage works.
  • Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, surveyors, and subcontractors.

Planning, Scheduling & Monitoring

  • Support preparation and tracking of project schedules using MS Project / Primavera.
  • Monitor daily progress and prepare DPR, WPR, and MPR reports.
  • Identify delays and support corrective action plans to meet project timelines.

Quality Management

  • Ensure implementation of Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineer for material testing, inspections, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC, MORTH, and project‑specific quality standards.

Billing & Commercial Control

  • Assist in preparation and verification of RA bills and final bills.
  • Coordinate measurement books (MB), BOQs, and quantity reconciliation.
  • Support handling of variation orders, extra items, and rate analysis.
  • Monitor subcontractor billing and back‑to‑back billing activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety norms and statutory regulations at site.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, environmental norms, and client requirements.

Client & Consultant Coordination

  • Coordinate with client, consultant, and government authorities.
  • Attend site meetings and support issue resolution.
  • Ensure timely approvals, inspections, and certifications.

Resource & Cost Management

  • Monitor manpower, machinery, and material utilization.
  • Support cost control measures to avoid budget overruns.
  • Assist in procurement planning and material reconciliation.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper site records, drawings, test reports, and correspondence.
  • Support audits and inspections by client or statutory authorities.
  • Ensure timely submission of project documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of road construction activities and methodologies.
  • Understanding of contracts, billing, and quantity control.
  • Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera/MS Project preferred.

Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
  • 8–12 years of experience in road/highway construction projects

Desired Experience

  • Experience in NH, SH, PMGSY, EPC road projects.
  • Exposure to bituminous works, structures, and drainage.
  • Experience in handling subcontractors and client coordination.
