The Role We Want You For

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead project staff and guarantee timely, quality execution of design-build projects from conception to completion.

The Specifics of the Role

• Work under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, coordinating all project aspects.
• Facilitate communication with project teams including designers, engineers, and site crews.
• Engage with clients and their teams to clarify project objectives and organize resources effectively.
• Understand the bid scope and contract documents thoroughly.
• Develop, monitor, and report on detailed project schedules for design, engineering, and installation.
• Ensure adherence to contract budgets and cash flow, managing payment requisitions efficiently.
• Oversee project quality control and assurance systems.
• Handle pricing and procurement of materials and subcontractor services in compliance with budgetary constraints.
• Analyze and communicate any changes to the contract scope.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and submit necessary reports and documentation.
• Manage warranty work on completed projects.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and maintain sharp listening abilities.
• Identify critical project elements and analyze details to propose actionable solutions.
• Plan resource utilization efficiently and continuously seek cost-reduction opportunities.
• Commit to quality control by monitoring standards and investigating root causes of any issues.
• Prepare and manage construction schedules in collaboration with superintendents and subcontractors.
• Prioritize safety, ensuring compliance with all safety audits and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in project management, particularly with large-scale subcontracting projects.
• At least 2 years of experience in Glass and Glazing Project Management, specifically with Unitized Systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Project; ability to learn in-house software.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices.
• Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability in working with diverse teams.
• Experience in project setup, budget planning, purchase management, and cost reporting.
• Familiarity with scheduling and working with subcontractors.
• Proven track record in leading successful project teams and developing employees.
• Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
• Experience managing significant projects exceeding $10 million (design-build preferred).
• Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit comfortable working independently and in teams.
• Physical ability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
• Capacity to lift objects up to 50lbs.

Compensation

• The salary range for this role is competitive, accounting for education, experience, skills, and location, typically ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 annually.
