For our development team, we are looking to strengthen it immediately or by arrangement with you as Development Manager System Engineering to help ensure the performance, functionality and quality of our products.

Committed to sustainability, we shape electromobility with innovative drives, charging devices and mobility concepts. The Designwerk team, consisting of around 200 employees, successfully brings sustainable commercial vehicles and own products to the road.

Your Area of Responsibility

• Technical and personnel management of the electrical and mechanical system engineering department
• Responsibility for the system engineering design, architecture and requirements definition of products and systems, especially in contract developments throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Ensuring a consistent systems engineering process from requirements to verification and validation in collaboration with the respective teams
• Ensuring and supporting the modelling and arrangement of mechanical components in complex commercial vehicle systems
• Supporting project management in effort estimation, scheduling and prioritisation from a technical perspective
• Coordination of technical interfaces between the involved departments and ensuring overall system functionality, as well as responsibility for development quality
• Assessment of technical risks, supporting projects in finding solutions and ensuring normative and regulatory requirements
• Technical contact for management, customers, suppliers and external partners on system-relevant issues

Your Advantages

• University degree in mechatronics, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
• Several years of professional experience in a similar role
• Broad technical know-how (ideally high and low voltage systems, thermal management of commercial vehicles, E/E architectures and mechanical design)
• Leadership experience
• Good understanding of an interdisciplinary team
• Very good German and good English skills
• Experience in the commercial vehicle industry and electromobility
• Business and entrepreneurial flair
• Ideally knowledge in APQP and functional safety
