DevOps Engineer

Role Purpose

Enable reliable and efficient software delivery through automation and operational excellence.

Experience

5–10+ years in DevOps, CI/CD automation, and cloud‑based deployments.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve release quality.

Mandatory Certification

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional

Good to Have

HashiCorp Terraform Associate, AWS Security – Specialty, ITIL 4 Foundation

Required Skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization, infrastructure automation, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, scripting, and cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

• Deployment frequency, failure rate reduction, system stability.

The customer’s preference is for local Calgary candidates; however, if suitable profiles are not available locally, candidates from across Canada may be considered. Please ensure that:

• Local candidates are willing to report to the client office daily
• Non-local candidates are open to traveling to Calgary, with travel costs reimbursed by HCL
