The Cloud Services Team at valantic develops and operates highly critical infrastructure for the global financial industry based on state-of-the-art cloud technologies. Our systems connect our customers to the world's largest stock exchanges with latencies of a few milliseconds. Our solutions automate a wide range of processes in the financial world, from trading traditional securities to processing cryptocurrencies.

Your Role

• You will take on the planning, design, development, and implementation of projects in our hybrid SaaS cloud platform.
• You will continuously drive the optimization of the environments in terms of performance, security, feature sets, and cost-effectiveness.
• Your tasks include active collaboration and interaction with our product development teams in the "DevOps" area, and you will be familiar with topics such as CI/CD and automation.
• You will support our 2nd Level Operations Team with incidents and change requests, as well as with solving medium to complex problems in the 3rd Level.
• Together with the team, you will be responsible for the technical and functional documentation of systems and workflows.
• You will be able to intervene in ongoing systems and quickly implement effective measures.
• You will create specialist/IT concepts, technical specifications, and architectures.

What Sets You Apart

MUST HAVE:

• You have extensive professional experience and very good expertise in AWS cloud services.
• You are familiar with the following stacks & topics: Containerization, AWS services (Lambda, SQS, EC2, ELB, ECS, ECR, S3, TGW, RDS), CI/CD, automation.
• You enjoy writing Infrastructure as Code and are a fan of Terraform. Bash and Powershell are also familiar to you.
• You possess AWS certifications as an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• You have analytical thinking skills, a high degree of initiative, and results-focus in projects and collaboration with other teams (with potential project management).
• Very good English skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

• You already have experience in orchestration technologies (Nomad, Consul) or AWS Security Services.
• Good German skills.
