DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) for Sovereign Cloud

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer in the Business Technology Platform area within the Technology & Engineering unit of the Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team. In this role, you will join the Sovereign Cloud Platform engineering team, building, hardening, and operating the SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as a reference by the regional operations teams. You will work closely with SAP product teams, technical product managers, developers, security experts, and regional operators on deployment automation, product operations and deployments, deployment documentation, and supporting the SAP Sovereign Cloud regional operations teams. The role can be filled in Berlin and St. Leon‑Rot.

What You'll Bring

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of working experience in cloud delivery related fields and technologies with 2+ years of automation experience.
• Professional experience in cloud delivery and public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or Grafana).
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Jenkins, Circle CI, Drone CI, or ArgoCD, and strong knowledge of Git.
• Experience in cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and microservices is a big plus.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• History of setting up, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
