Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure high availability, performance, and cost‑efficiency.
• Implement and maintain containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing and security practices into the CI/CD workflow.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into all stages of the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to provide support for critical production systems and incidents.
• Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve our DevOps practices and infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI)
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and system administration
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk)
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and load balancers
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing
