The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Linux systems administration, and a background in Big Data solutions, configuration management, automation, scripting, containers, and AWS. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services. Work is performed in a hybrid environment (on average 1-2 days a week) with a great team with travel to customer sites in Hawaii./ppIf you have a passion for DevOps and are interested in working with a dynamic and innovative team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliSupport development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS/liliSupport development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment/liliAutomate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services/liliManage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS/liliCollaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure/liliMonitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary/liliContinuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance/liliStay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Requirements/h3h3Security Clearance: /h3ulliA current Secret U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications: /h3ulli9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience./liliStrong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting/liliProficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet/liliKnowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure./liliExperience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management/liliAbility to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go/liliFamiliarity with Git and other development tools./liliExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues/liliExcellent oral and written communication skills./liliUnderstanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites/liliMust be able to work in a hybrid environment. On average 1-2 days per week in Columbia, MD. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes if needed./liliMust be able to travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites located in Hawaii.
