DevOps Engineer CI/CD & Build Automation (m/w/d)

About

For a technologically demanding development environment, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to strengthen an existing engineering team. The focus is on the sustainable further development of modern software development processes and the optimization of CI/CD and build structures in an international environment.

This role is suitable for a technically strong personality with in-depth experience in build automation, GitLab, and Java-based development environments.

Your Tasks

• Migration of complex Java projects from Ant to Gradle
• Analysis, simplification, and standardization of existing Git repository structures
• Further development and automation of modern CI/CD workflows
• Collaboration with software development, platform teams, and external partners
• Introduction and optimization of automated quality and security checks
• Building and improving build, test, and deployment processes
• Support with topics such as:
  • SBOM generation
  • Rule enforcement
  • Static code analysis
  • Automated tests
  • Reporting & statistics solutions

Your Profile

• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Build/Automation Engineer
• Very good knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and DevOps automation
• In-depth practical experience with Git workflows and repository management
• Very good knowledge of Gradle and experience with migrations from Ant to Gradle
• Good knowledge of Java/JUnit and ideally C++
• Experience with static code analysis and automated testing frameworks
• Knowledge in the area of SBOM and Software Supply Chain Security is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German and English skills
