Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Deployment & Management:
  • Planning, setup, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters in the cloud
  • Automated rollouts, scaling, and optimization of resource utilization
• Monitoring & Observability:
  • Development and maintenance of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic)
  • Analysis of metrics and logs for system stabilization and improvement
• Service Mesh & Security:
  • Introduction and management of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd, Consul)
  • Configuration of traffic management, security policies, and resilience mechanisms
• GitOps & CI/CD:
  • Implementation of GitOps principles with tools like ArgoCD or Flux
  • Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Teamwork & Documentation:
  • Close collaboration with developers and infrastructure teams
  • Creation of runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge documentation
  • Training and support of colleagues on DevOps topics

Requirements

• Several years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or Kubernetes administration
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (cluster setup, Helm, CRDs)
• Experience with observability tools and service mesh technologies
• Knowledge of GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) and CI/CD pipelines
• Profound knowledge in containerization (Docker, OCI) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane)
• Programming skills in Bash, Python, or Go
• Analytical thinking, structured working methods, and strong communication skills
• Certifications such as CKAD, CKA, or experience with AI models are advantageous
