DevOps Engineer — M & S Platform Baseline KRBMA 1629

Overview

Architect and manage the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) DevSecOps platform for cloud and on-prem environments. Ensure secure, reliable software pipelines and provide transition and integration support. Build and configure a platform that supports secure software delivery and operational transition activities.

Responsibilities

• Architect and configure the M&S DevSecOps platform.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and core platform services.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling.
• Use tools such as GitLab, SonarQube, and Fortify to support secure DevSecOps processes.
• Design and maintain systems for high reliability and availability.
• Support transition engineering and integration activities.
• Provide automation and platform engineering to support software delivery and sustainment.

Technical Qualifications

• 7+ years software/system development experience.
• Experience with C++, Python, AFSIM, web services/apps, and databases.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps tools and processes (GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify).
• Strong platform engineering and automation expertise.
• Experience designing and maintaining highly available, reliable systems.

Requirements & Conditions

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must have a Secret clearance at award; TS/SCI eligibility may be required.
• Must support CONUS/OCONUS travel for integration, exercises, and sustainment.
• Must meet DoD 8140 / 8500.01 workforce certification standards, support RMF deliverables, and remediate vulnerabilities.
