DevOps Engineer Microsoft (Exchange / Private Cloud)

For our client in the telecommunications industry in Bern, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded DevOps Engineer Microsoft (Exchange / Private Cloud) (m/f/d).

As a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Microsoft, you will work in a highly sensitive environment and be responsible for the stable, secure, and automated operation of central services within a protected private cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operation, engineering, and further development of Microsoft Exchange and Windows Server environments
• Ensuring stable, secure, and standardized operation in a private cloud
• Administration and troubleshooting of Exchange (Mailflow, DAGs, OWA, MAPI, ECP, Autodiscover)
• Management of Active Directory including Exchange-specific components
• Ensuring security and compliance requirements (TLS, DKIM, SPF, DMARC, DLP)
• Monitoring, performance optimization, and error analysis of the systems
• Automation of operational tasks with PowerShell as well as CI/CD and DevOps tools
• Close collaboration with product owners and technical teams, and continuous optimization of the platform

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship in IT (EFZ, HF, FH, Uni) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the Microsoft environment (Windows Server & Exchange)
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange administration
• Experience with security & compliance in the mail environment
• Very good knowledge of PowerShell and automation
• Understanding of networks, firewalls, and security concepts
• Experience with CI/CD, GitLab, Ansible, or similar tools
• Structured, independent way of working, as well as teamwork and communication skills
• Very good German and English skills
