Role

In this role, you will design modern cloud and DevOps solutions that ensure a stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for demanding specialist applications. You will be responsible for automating build, test, and deployment processes, thereby ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery. You will continuously analyze and optimize existing systems to increase performance, availability, and security. You will also work closely with development teams to clarify infrastructure requirements early on and develop tailor-made technical solutions. With your experience, you will make a decisive contribution to the continuous further development of the technological basis for future-oriented software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You will design the operation and further development of our Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
  • In this role, you will implement GitOps workflows with Git and ArgoCD for stable, scalable deployments.
  • You will ensure high availability and reliable alarming with monitoring and observability solutions such as Grafana.
  • As a Cloud and DevOps Engineer, you will confidently administer our hybrid infrastructure with Linux and Windows servers.
  • You will capture the requirements of the specialist departments and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Computer Science (University of Applied Sciences) and several years of professional experience that make you a confident point of contact in complex IT projects.
  • Sound practical experience in container platforms with confident handling of Kubernetes or OpenShift, as well as modern deployment strategies via GitOps (e.g. ArgoCD) and Git.
  • Proficient in operating Linux and Windows servers (including AD, Terminal Server) and confident in working with hybrid infrastructures.
  • Proven experience in automation and Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins pipelines, and monitoring with Grafana.
  • Good knowledge of backup solutions (e.g. Velero) and storage technologies such as S3 and NFS.
  • Know-how in operating databases (e.g. Postgres) or identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak.
