DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to support our team in the development, implementation, and optimization of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes. In this position, you will be responsible for automating infrastructure and software deployments, as well as ensuring a stable and scalable system landscape. You will work closely with development teams to realize innovative solutions and increase the efficiency of our development processes. Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure: Optimize and scale Docker-based multi-tenant deployments
• Maintain & expand CI/CD pipelines: GitLab CI, automated tests, security scans, container builds
• Monitoring & Security: Sentry, logging, alerting, OWASP scans, secrets management
• Deployment automation: Provisioning, zero-downtime deployments, auto-updates
• AI infrastructure: Set up inference pipelines, LLM hosting, bring AI features into production

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies
• Must-have:
  • GitLab CI/CD (pipeline design, container builds, security scanning)
  • Linux administration (Ubuntu, systemd, Bash)
  • Reverse proxy configuration (Traefik and/or Nginx)
  • MariaDB/MySQL (backup, tuning, replication)
  • Security awareness (TLS, vulnerability management)
• Nice-to-have:
  • Kubernetes / Helm
  • Terraform / Ansible
  • Redis, Meilisearch
  • PHP/Laravel deployment (queues, scheduler, workers)
• AI competence (important!):
  • Productive use of Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT as daily work tools
  • Understanding of LLM inference infrastructure (GPU servers, vLLM/Ollama, model deployment)
  • Ideally: host own models, RAG pipelines, vector databases
