KNDS Deutschland Mission Electronics GmbH is an IT system house in the security and defense sector. As a subsidiary of KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co KG, the electronics specialist from Lake Constance has been developing complex and hardened IT systems in hardware and software in close cooperation with customers for more than four decades. As a long-standing partner of the Bundeswehr, the solutions from the Konstanz system house form the digital backbone of the army's combat vehicles.
The System Engineering department deals with the development of solutions for military communication, for hardened hardware platforms, and for monitoring and testing systems. We think in terms of system interrelationships and support our customers throughout the entire life cycle, from idea generation and requirements analysis through realization and commissioning/fielding to maintenance and servicing. Our focus is on software development, where we cover a wide range of topics from firmware and driver development to middleware and application development and the design of user interfaces. We work together in cross-functional project teams and place great value on good communication and honest feedback.

Responsibilities
- Setup, maintenance, and continuous development of virtualised infrastructures for software development in an air-gapped environment
- Development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes to ensure continuous integration and deployment
- Close collaboration with software development teams and the IT department for seamless integration of new software and technologies
- Implementation and management of security measures to ensure system and data security
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for infrastructure and processes
Profile
- Completed degree in computer science, a comparable education, or relevant professional experience in the DevOps environment
- Practical knowledge of container technology (Docker)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is an advantage
- Proficient in using CI/CD tools
- Proficient in using collaboration platforms, version control, and development environments
- Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash
- Good Linux knowledge
- Very good German language skills, confident expression in speaking and writing
- Independent and systematic way of working, analytical thinking; creativity and teamwork skills
