Senior DevOps Engineer (Linux & Automation)

The Opportunity

A leading European technology and engineering organisation is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Digital Infrastructure function. This role sits at the heart of the business, supporting mission-critical platforms used for advanced engineering, simulation, and secure digital products. You’ll combine hands-on Linux operations with modern DevOps and automation, working closely with software and project teams to design, implement, and operate robust infrastructure solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating and supporting Red Hat Linux environments
• Building and improving automation using Ansible
• Acting as a technical bridge between IT and development teams
• Supporting secure and regulated systems
• Taking full ownership of infrastructure solutions from design to operation
• Contributing to future private cloud and platform initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience as a DevOps or Linux engineer
• Excellent knowledge of Red Hat Linux
• Proven automation skills (Ansible)
• Experience working close to software development teams
• Security-conscious mindset
• Comfortable taking end-to-end responsibility

Bonus Points For

• Software development background
• OpenStack, Kubernetes, or private cloud projects
• VMware migration experience
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or sovereign cloud environments
• Middleware expertise

Working Model & Benefits

• Hybrid working (3 days on-site per week)

• Salary up to €100,000 depending on experience
