AI & DevOps Engineer

Project Description

We are looking for an AI & DevOps Engineer for a highly technical, hands-on role focused on end-to-end process improvement through AI, automation, and DevOps engineering. This is not a coaching or advisory position—you will design, implement, and operate concrete solutions that measurably improve development, testing, CI/CD, monitoring/observability, and internal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI-driven automation to optimize technical and organizational processes.
• Automate and improve workflows such as:
  • Excel-based planning, budgeting, reporting, invoicing, sourcing, and procurement
  • internal operational/organizational workflows
• Improve engineering efficiency by reducing manual effort via:
  • AI-generated test cases
  • automated testing and quality pipelines
  • optimization of non-core development activities
• Take hands-on ownership of DevOps and CI/CD engineering, including:
  • stabilizing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
  • improving reliability and efficiency across build, test, and release processes
• Improve system operations and observability by:
  • reducing monitoring noise and improving signal quality
  • applying AI to monitoring, alerting, and operational workflows
• Implement and operate cloud-based AI and automation solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar), including tools such as CLUD AI.
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable solutions with clear technical documentation.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong engineering background with deep hands-on experience in DevOps, automation, and cloud environments.
• Proven experience with:
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Git workflows, release automation, and pipeline optimization
• Strong track record in automation and process optimization across development and operations.
• Practical understanding of AI for real-world engineering use cases, e.g.:
  • AI-supported automation workflows
  • AI-generated test cases and automated testing
  • AI assistance in system operations and DevOps processes
• Experience integrating AI tools beyond chat interfaces, focused on operational/technical improvements.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with end-to-end ownership and ability to work independently in complex environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hungarian language skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to Budapest or Budaörs.
• Experience improving observability (alert fatigue reduction, signal-to-noise improvements) using AI.
• Experience automating business processes tied to Excel-driven operations (planning/budgeting/reporting/invoicing/procurement).
• Exposure to environments with strong security/governance/compliance constraints.
