DevOps Engineer (w/m/d)
BRANDAD Group AG
About the role
Your Role
The applications you manage are used by customers: This is exactly what you take responsibility for. You ensure that these systems function stably, securely, and without unnecessary surprises. To do this, you keep applications up-to-date, close security vulnerabilities, and ensure clean deployments. If something isn't running smoothly, you dive deeper: You analyze causes, understand contexts, and solve problems sustainably, not just superficially. Service migrations are part of the job, as is the setup and further development of monitoring and dashboards: Always with the goal of making operations reliable and transparent. In short: You turn existing applications into reliable services.
Your Environment
You are part of the growing Managed Service area, which we are currently building and developing. You work on productive systems in real-world use and operate within this stack, among others:
- Cloud Foundry
- Java / Spring Boot
- Angular / Type Script
- Git Hub & Git Hub Actions
- Grafana, Splunk, Icinga
- Mend & Fortify You work closely with development and infrastructure with the common goal of not just building systems, but operating them reliably.
What Applies to You
- You have an apprenticeship in the IT field (e.g., IT specialist) or a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, or you have acquired your knowledge soundly through other means.
- You have several years of practical experience in operating or further developing applications and feel secure in complex, distributed systems.
- Understanding the connections between services, dependencies, and infrastructure is part of your daily routine, even if you haven't built every detail yourself.
- Ideally, you have already worked with monitoring and observability approaches and are familiar with tools like Grafana, Splunk, or Icinga. Deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines are also familiar to you.
- You have a good feel for stability and operational security, proceed in a structured manner, and persevere when it comes to analyzing errors and understanding causes.
- You work independently, communicate clearly and solution-oriented, and actively contribute to the team.
- You have very good German language skills (at least C1 level) in speaking and writing.
What You Can Expect
- The scope, nurturing ground, and support to develop and implement great ideas.
- Solution-oriented colleagues who see unconventional paths not as a problem, but as an enrichment.
- A vibrant learning culture where mistakes are simply part of opportunities for improvement.
- A conscious departure from the classic power hierarchy.
- A nice office in a central, easily accessible location… and the option to only go there when you make more use of mobile working.
- Many and diverse colleagues in the BRANDAD group of companies – a colorful bunch of more than 90 interesting people.
