We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (w/m/d) for our client, a company with critical infrastructure in the financial sector based in Munich, to start as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities as a DevOps Engineer (w/m/d)

• Concept, development, and operation of API-based banking interfaces (PSD2 / XS2A) for connecting internal and external financial systems
• Automation of API workflows and data flows using Python
• Development, operation, and maintenance of REST APIs for secure communication with banks and financial service providers
• Securing, monitoring, and scaling of API backends in a regulated banking environment
• Implementation of automation solutions with Ansible and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Taking over 2nd and 3rd level support for API connections, including error analysis and troubleshooting
• Performing monitoring, logging, and incident management in the context of API integrations
• Maintaining documentation and ticket processing via Jira and Confluence

Your Profile

• Completed degree or completed IT vocational training, e.g., application development or computer science
• Several years of professional experience in banking integration with a focus on APIs (e.g., FinTS/HBCI)
• Very good knowledge of Python, especially for scripting, automation, and API integration
• Sound experience in connecting banking interfaces and in API integration
• Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented way of working
• High sense of responsibility in a regulated environment
• Willingness to be present on-site in Munich two days a month
