For the "Compute / Storage / Backup / Data Base Management" division, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (w/f/d) at the Ulm, Oberkochen, or Taufkirchen location as soon as possible. The "Infrastructure and Cloud Services" division is responsible for the conception, provision, and operation of the server and network infrastructure, as well as for company-wide communication at various locations and in the cloud. For specific projects, some of which are classified as confidential, the Infrastructure division also designs and operates self-sufficient IT environments within the HENSOLDT Group. HENSOLDT IM (Information Management) forms the global IT of the HENSOLDT Group. Through scalable and flexible architectures as well as business-oriented IT solutions, we enable the growth goals of the HENSOLDT Group. We provide innovative digital solutions for HENSOLDT's product portfolio and processes.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code: Responsibility for state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines and automation of complex infrastructures (e.g., via Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Cloud Native Operations: Design and operation of highly available Kubernetes environments within a scalable enterprise cloud infrastructure
- Solution Design: Conception of future-proof, high-performance architectures with strict adherence to security best practices
- End-to-End Ownership: Establishment of the "You build it, you run it" approach – from initialization through deployment to incident management
- Proactive Reliability: Continuous optimization of monitoring and observability stacks to ensure maximum system stability
- Collaboration & Coaching: Close collaboration with development teams to establish efficient deployment workflows
- Tech Leadership: Active participation in shaping the IT strategy and defining new technology standards within the company
Profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification with a solid IT background
- Several years of professional experience in a DevOps environment and in the implementation of modern CI/CD and cloud architectures
- Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or comparable technologies)
- Solid understanding of modern software delivery and deployment processes in agile development environments
- Extensive experience in automating infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes
- Structured, analytical, and independent way of working combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- High quality orientation, technical understanding, and professional handling of complex IT system landscapes
