Manager's call notes Location: Fully on-site M-F in McLean, VA Assignment Type: Contract Only Scheduled End: Non-Standard Notes: every 6 weeks for production support Friday 3 hrs Must Have Qualifications: 5+ Strong in Groovy development, experience in building CI/CD pipelines, HELM Charts, Kubernetes and exposure to Spinnaker Schedule: Standard • We are responsible for addressing the organization's entire CICD requirements. We build the pipelines using Groovy and CICD tools. • Additionally, we focus on Microservices that aid in data loading, acting as UI or backend services to cater to different needs which also supports our CICD process in the backend. • We build CICD pipelines as a shared library. We need somoene with hands-on Groovy experience. Someone who has developed the shared library. • On the CD part, have good experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes, troubleshooting issues. • With Helm charts, we are looking for someone who has actually built the reusable charts. • The focus of this role is modernization, not just operational. There will be actual development. We have a separate team for operations. • Every 6 weeks during deployment on Fridays, we expect the candidate to be present with their Tech Lead. • We are looking for someone who has not just used the CICD pipeline but need someone who has developed shared libraries for DevOps. • If the candidate says a team supported the CI/CD pipeline and they only used that pipeline for code deployment. That's not going to work. • We are the team in Freddie Mac who builds the CICD pipeline. There are 1200 Microservices that are using our shared library and its growing exponentially. • So, we need a DevOps Engineer who can expand our current library functionality and contribute towards its development. Not a user of CICD pipeline. • The focus is on the cloud.

CI/CD Pipeline Developer We are looking for a highly motivated CI/CD Pipeline Developer to join our DevOps and Engineering Enablement team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing and developing scalable CI/CD solutions, automation frameworks, and deployment tooling to improve software delivery efficiency across enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment automation. Develop reusable pipeline libraries and shared automation components using Groovy and Python. Build and maintain custom Helm charts for Kubernetes-based deployments. Collaborate with development, QA, release management, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery processes. Implement pipeline standards, governance, security controls, and best practices. Troubleshoot and optimize CI/CD workflows, deployment failures, and automation issues. Enhance DevOps tooling and automation capabilities across cloud and on-prem environments. Support containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and Helm. Has proven ability to collaborate with partner teams and peer to support technology implementation and solution delivery in ecosystems using; AWS, Elastisearch, Logstache, Kibana, Open Policy Agent (OPA), Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Docker & containerized workloads, Service Mesh tools, Information Security tools such as HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk for Credentials Management Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting edge solutions. Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes and come up with solutions to address defects. Write automated test scripts and test code written by peer developers. Provide production support and providing clear communication on the resolution of incidents. Independently collaborate with upstream/downstream and IT support teams to lead conversations, implement solutions and resolve issues. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development and automation. Expertise in Groovy scripting, especially for Jenkins shared libraries and pipeline development. Experience developing and maintaining Helm charts (not just usage/deployment). Strong Python development skills for automation and tooling. Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Atlassian tools, or similar CI/CD platforms. Good understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration. Experience with source control systems such as Git. Knowledge of DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and release management processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
