DevOps Lead

About the Role:

At Elbayt Digital Systems Canada, we believe reliable infrastructure is the foundation of great digital products. We design and operate enterprise-grade cloud systems that power modern applications across North America. We are looking for a DevOps Lead (m/f/d) who can take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure, automation strategy, and platform reliability. You are not just maintaining systems; you are building the backbone that enables product teams to move fast and safely. You will lead a small but highly skilled team of engineers, ensuring our deployment pipelines, cloud architecture, and monitoring systems are robust, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Ownership:

Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability, security, and performance across production environments.

CI CD Pipeline Leadership:

Develop and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery across multiple teams.

System Reliability and Monitoring:

Implement observability standards including logging, metrics, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve system issues.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a small DevOps team, providing technical direction, code reviews, and operational best practices.

Security and Compliance Collaboration:

Work closely with security and engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets compliance and security standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

6 to 9 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, including at least 2 to 3 years in a lead or senior ownership role.

Technical Expertise:

Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Terraform, CI CD systems, and infrastructure automation tools.

Leadership Ability:

Proven ability to lead engineers, manage priorities, and drive technical decisions in a fast paced environment.

Problem Solving Mindset:

You are comfortable working in complex distributed systems and making decisions that balance speed, cost, and reliability.

Communication Skills:

Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both engineering teams and non technical stakeholders.

Mindset:

You are proactive, ownership driven, and focused on building systems that scale rather than quick fixes.

Pay: $9,500.00-$14,000.00 per month
