About
We’re hiring a DevOps / Platform Engineer to help us run reliable production systems and ship changes safely. You’ll work closely with engineering to improve deployments, stability, monitoring, and day‑to‑day operations across cloud and Kubernetes environments. (https://santabrowser.com/)
Responsibilities
- Own build and release workflows (from code to deployment), keeping them clean and reliable
- Support and operate Kubernetes‑based services (deployments, upgrades, rollbacks, scaling)
- Manage secure traffic routing and HTTPS/TLS certificates, including renewals and troubleshooting
- Support databases and data systems by maintaining backups, basic reliability practices, and operational readiness
- Help operate streaming/realtime systems and ensure production systems handle load and failures gracefully
- Maintain secure cloud networking and access controls (least privilege, safe change practices)
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and logging so incidents can be diagnosed quickly
- Participate in on‑call rotation and scheduled maintenance work
- Keep runbooks and operational documentation up to date, and coordinate changes through tickets
Requirements
- Strong production troubleshooting mindset (Linux + system debugging)
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and containerized applications
- Familiarity with Kubernetes operations and release workflows
- Comfort managing certificates/HTTPS and handling operational issues around renewals
- Working knowledge of databases and backups (restore testing, retention, basic performance awareness)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows
- Good communication and ownership in incident response and cross‑team coordination
