About the role

Your role in the team

  • You assume product responsibility for our internal Cloud-Native development and operations platform with clear ownership of vision, roadmap, and value.
  • Collection, prioritization, and maintenance of the Product Backlog in close coordination with Development, Testing, Operations, and Security.
  • Translation of technical requirements into clear user stories and epics, as well as active participation in all Scrum events.
  • Management of platform development from conception to go-live, including dependency and release management.
  • Measurement and communication of platform benefits based on relevant KPIs, as well as representing the product and the roadmap to stakeholders, management, and coordination committees in the highly regulated insurance environment.
  • Promotion of standardization, automation, and gradual replacement of historically grown structures.
  • You actively pursue new technologies and best practices, introduce them to the team, and act as a bridge between technology and business.

What we offer

  • For a 38.5-hour workweek, the annual gross salary is at least EUR 56,454.58.
  • Your actual salary will be determined individually and will take into account your previous experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficient use of backlog management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with GitOps, IaC, and DevSecOps concepts (e.g., deployment strategies, secrets management, security baselines).
  • Team orientation as well as a good instinct for people and team dynamics characterize you.
  • Very good German and good English skills.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure environments; PO certification is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of the Cloud-Native landscape (Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability) as well as modern web and microservices architectures and the software delivery lifecycle, hands-on experience is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking, experience with product KPIs and data-driven prioritization, as well as the ability to communicate technical complexity clearly to the team and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

  • Completed technical or business-technical education (HTL, FH, university) or comparable practical experience.
