DevOps / SRE Engineer - Platform & Automation (m/w/d)

Platforms that simply work don't happen by themselves – they are the result of clean engineering, well-thought-out automation, and a team that understands operations and development as two sides of the same coin. We are looking for a technically versatile professional with a real SRE mindset.

Responsibilities

• Building and operating scalable deployment pipelines across heterogeneous infrastructures (On-Premises, Private Cloud, Hyperscaler)
• Consistent automation of provisioning, onboarding processes, and updates according to the Infrastructure-as-Code principle
• Taking over second-level support and incident response: structured error analysis through log evaluation, DB queries, and targeted configuration adjustments
• Technical support and execution of customer onboarding, including integration into existing operational structures
• Building a proactive observability framework: monitoring, logging, alerting, SLI/SLO definition, dashboards, and incident playbooks
• Continuous improvement of availability, performance, and recovery times in close coordination with development teams
• Definition and enforcement of operational standards towards external IT partners

Qualifications

• Development experience in at least one backend language (Kotlin, Java, Python, or similar) and basic knowledge of modern frontend technologies
• Confident handling of Linux and the command line – shell scripting is part of everyday life
• In-depth knowledge of container technologies (Docker) and modern deployment strategies
• Experience with SQL for analysis and error diagnosis in productive database environments
• Knowledge of network fundamentals: DNS, TLS, firewall concepts, and routing
• Experience with automation frameworks like Ansible or comparable tools
• Familiarity with SRE principles: SLOs, Error Budgets, Toil Reduction, and Reliability Engineering
• Structured, documentation-oriented way of working with a high quality standard
