DevOps/ System Engineer | IBSECO (m/w/d)

In this role, you will work on modernizing mainframe platforms in the backbone infra area. You will drive DevOps culture, automation, and Infrastructure as Code to make deployment, operation, and recovery more efficient. You will collaborate across locations with a dedicated team and various interfaces. You will design processes, proactively test, and document optimizations to promote knowledge retention and performance. The position offers scope for design in a future-oriented banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Automated installations and deployments of purchased software on mainframes using scripts/tools
• Establish DevOps culture, accelerate delivery capability and performance of the mainframe platform
• Infrastructure conception and management tool with IaC for automated provisioning and recovery
• Proactively identify problems and implement standardized tests for error detection
• Source code management in Git and version control
• Documentation of processes and optimizations for knowledge retention and transfer

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience
• Deep understanding of Ansible and Terraform, DevOps culture, and IT operations
• Basic knowledge of mainframes, willingness to expand and build upon this knowledge
• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, and Python
• Fluent German (min. C1) and good English (B2) language skills
• Experience in automation tools and creation of CI/CD pipelines
