Job Overview

Looking for a skilled Cloud/DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role in driving cloud adoption and integrating DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will assess current capabilities, recommend enhancements, and execute a comprehensive plan to convert applications into government cloud environments securely, and efficiently.

General Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing IT infrastructure to identify improvements for enhanced DevOps integration, including migrating applications to cloud-based environments as necessary.
• Lead in analyzing, designing, and implementing cloud migration strategies, addressing security, compliance, and software requirements throughout the process.
• Oversee the development and testing of necessary software modifications and ensure successful deployment into cloud platforms.
• Apply expertise in cloud technologies to streamline integration, ensuring optimized performance and resource management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, secure, and compliant transitions to cloud environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience working with cloud technologies
• Demonstrated experience optimizing DevOps practices and enhancing efficiency within an organization or project
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Proven leadership in fostering cross‑team collaboration, innovation, and continual improvement

Required (Soft Skills)

• Someone who is self‑driven, innovative, forward‑thinking, proactive, and willing to embrace and tackle solution challenges
• Someone who enjoys brainstorming, presenting, and collaborating with teams to come up with modern scalable solutions

Degree / Experience Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience
• OR 10 years of professional experience, in lieu of a degree

Desired (Not Required)

• Certifications in cloud technologies and DevOps tools
• Experience with Java and Confluence
• Proven ability to manage cloud‑based systems, especially in environments like AWS
• Expertise in automating CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
