DevSecOps Engineer / Security Analyst / Cloud Architect

Position Overview

Arch Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer / Security Analyst / Cloud Architect to support the SBIR Phase II Army (Hawkeye) project. This role requires a strong blend of cloud architecture, secure DevOps practices, and federal compliance expertise to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in support of mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Kubernetes ecosystems, and DoD security frameworks, ensuring compliance with federal standards while enabling efficient CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Architect and manage containerized environments using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and Kubernetes
• Develop cloud-native architectures aligned with Army and DoD requirements
• Optimize performance, availability, and cost efficiency of cloud resources

DevSecOps & CI/CD

• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using:
  • GitHub Actions
  • Azure DevOps
• Integrate security controls into all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles
• Manage containerization workflows using Docker and Kubernetes

Security & Compliance

• Ensure systems comply with federal security standards including:
  • DISA STIGs
  • FIPS 140-2
  • NIST SP 800-53
  • RMF (Risk Management Framework)
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security scans, and remediation activities
• Implement continuous monitoring and security hardening practices
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and documentation

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with engineering, security, and government stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance on secure architecture and DevSecOps best practices
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and security accreditation efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Security Architecture
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE)
  • Kubernetes & Docker
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Deep understanding of DevOps and platform engineering principles
• Experience working within DoD or federal compliance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Army, DoD, or SBIR projects
• Familiarity with ATO processes and RMF lifecycle
• Certifications (preferred but not required):
  • AWS/Azure/OCI Cloud Certifications
  • Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
  • Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, etc.)
