DGS - Business Analyst 4

About

This role will join a team of analysts who work on multiple LIMS and web portals. We are currently implementing a replacement Starlims LIMS (LPH version) for our environmental and clinical users. The candidate will be involved in application discovery/training, requirements gathering, and QA testing. The candidate should have laboratory testing experience and/or experience with LIMS implementation.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of analysts working on multiple LIMS and web portals.
• Participate in application discovery and training.
• Gather requirements and perform QA testing.
• Assist in STARLIMS configuration validation, test case development, and quality assurance activities.
• Create documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs.
• Elicit and document business requirements through interviews and workshops.
• Analyze laboratory processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
• Engage stakeholders to understand needs, provide updates, and manage expectations.
• Analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and user stories.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory environment or supporting laboratory systems.
• Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience with STARLIMS configuration validation and quality assurance.
• Ability to create documentation for business requirements and solution designs.
• Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements.
• Analytical problem solving skills.
• Experience with software products including Word, Excel, Visio, and DevOps.
• Experience with Starlims LPH preferred.
